SC Farm Report on Thursday   
  	
   Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no 
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 300.00-345.00; 500-600 lbs 295.00-297.50. Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 300.00-320.00; 500-600 lbs none 
reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 265.00-290.00, 
500-600 lbs 250.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 112.00-114.00; 
Boners 80-85% lean 110.00-118.00; High Dressing none reported; Lean 85-
90% lean 100.00-115.00; Lean Low Dressing 42.00-100.00. Slaughter bulls: 
Average Dressing 1410-2175 lbs 136.00-153.00; High Dressing none 
reported; Low Dressing 1020-1780 lbs 97.00-124.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1240 lbs Young Aged Cow with calf 
over 300 lbs 2850.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 825-1125 lbs Young to 
Middle Aged Cows with Calves under 300 lbs 1300.00-2925.00 per pair. 
Medium and Large 2 900-1110 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with Calves 
over 300 lbs 2350.00-2825.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was not reported. Sows 
live price 300-450 lbs 52.39; 450-500 lbs 56.95; 500-550 lbs 60.34.
   SC Grain on Thursday. Corn was 3 to 4 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.03-4.98, processor bids 4.73-5.03. Soybeans were 2 to 4 cents lower; 
elevator bids 10.31-11.26, processor bids 12.11, and export 12.26. Wheat 
bids were 3 to 8 cents higher; elevator bids 5.54.
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.08
higher at 77.83.  
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
